Camping Adventure!

At the beginning of last week, we went on our yearly camping adventure. We chose to go to Big Basin in the Santa Cruz Mountains this year! Well, it was an ADVENTURE for sure! It started off with Kyleigh getting carsick and throwing up twice on the ride there (we had no idea that she got car sick!). So, after arriving in camp, she seemed to be better and enjoyed running around the campsite with Haley as we set up camp and washed her car seat! Well, as evening approached, the mood worsened again and then it got down to 45 degrees at night which didn't help. The next morning, she was cranky and refused to leave my arms. After a few hours, we decided to cut the trip short and leave (we were scheduled to stay 2 nights). Haley on the other hand was having a blast and loved everything about camping! We'll try again next year!!

Haley has a real interest in folding laundry lately! It's great...I hope this lasts! She actually does a great job on shirts, washcloths, socks, and pants. She even folds underwear! I don't, I just stuff it in the drawer!

Last Monday we finally took Kyleigh off of the bottle! It was quite a week! The picture below is pretty much the only time we got a little bit of milk in her last week. She has completely rejected it since it is not in a bottle! So sad :( ! We were trying to get her to be like her big sister, but in the end she just handed Haley her cup!! She will not drink anything but water out of a sippy cup! Now that is stubbornness since we know how much she likes milk!

Carnival 2010

Last weekend was our Church's annual Carnival. What great way to start summer break! Here are the highlights!

It was so funny to watch Kyleigh's reaction to the rides at the carnival. This first pictures is Haley at 19 months. Then notice Kyleigh's expression in all the rest of the pics...she's definitely not our daredevil! :)

It was not until the very last ride that she started bouncing with excitement on the ride and really acting like she was having fun! And of course, we didn't have our camera at that time!

School's Out For Summer!!!

OK, so I have officially been done with school for just over a week, so now I vow to get some new blog posts going in the next few days. We are also headed on vacation soon, so many more pics to come.

My dad just returned from visiting my Grandma in Hawaii and he brought grass skirts home for both girls! Boy were they a hit...not to mention my dad was quite the hula instructor!! :)

A couple of days ago the President came to the Bay Area. My

assignment was to cover his arrival and departure at the airport. I

have seen Air Force One a few times in person, but had never taken my camera.

Tired Girl!

I had to practically drag her up the stairs (I had too much stuff to carry her) and then she fell asleep the minute we got inside (it only lasted a few minutes until she realized how uncomfortable it was going to be!) :) Finally, I was able to get her to the couch!
