Final Tahoe Update

At first glance you might think you were on Fort Myers Beach looking at red algae. It's not! It's ashes that have washed up to shore at Lake Tahoe.

The Damage!

So I am now posting this blog from my hotel room in South Lake Tahoe, CA. I am walking distance from the Nevada border. We arrived around 1:30pm today. In the little amount of time that we were here, we saw a lot. You may have noticed that for some people all that remains is the shell of a car or ashes of a house. At about 3:30pm today we had gotten word that the fire had jumped a fire line and was forcing more evacuations. We happened to be in the area when this went down and saw people grabbing everything they could and piling it into there cars. As you can see, emotions were running high, like the lady and the little girl crying, both very overwhelmed.
