School

Here are some pictures of Haley hard at work at school. Her teachers post pictures every Friday so we are able to see our little ones in the classroom and on the playground! Haley adores her teachers and loves all the jobs and activities she gets to do at school!!

Snack Time!

Teddy Bear Picnic!  Haley brought her beloved Mimi (lamb) that she sleeps with.  The next day she wondered why her blankie didn't get a chance to go to school too!

Each day Haley comes home with a wealth of new things she learned in school that day.  Yesterday, after night time prayers, she insisted that we say the pledge of allegiance!  There was no way around it!  So there we are in the middle of our family room, hands on our hearts, saluting the non-existent flag!  Then, hand motions and all, we sang America the Beautiful!  It was all I could do to not burst out laughing!!

Work and the Beach!

This Saturday was a busy, busy day! We started the day by going to Paul's work with the Smiths for a tour! Then, it was off to the beach for sandcastles and a bonfire!

Home from School

We caught Haley coming home from school on video. This wasn't quite the intense reaction I talked about earlier, but there was sure a whole lot of kissing going on! Very cute!

A Beautiful Evening!

Although it was a hot day, the evening was gorgeous, so we took a walk to the park. Paul, of course, couldn't resist taking a few pictures!

When we got home and put Kyleigh to sleep, we sat on the couch to say our prayers before bed.  Haley noticed the moon outside and she has been fascinated by the moon lately.  She says that when she gets "REALLY, REALLY BIG" she will be an astronaut and fly way up to the moon!  We'll see! ;)

So we ended with one of Haley's favorite nursery rhymes, "I see the moon and the moon sees me.  God Bless the moon and God Bless me!"

Heat Wave!

Yesterday was very hot here! Our apartment was 98 degrees and it wasn't much better outside. So, we locked ourselves in the girls' room which has A/C! Let just say we played a lot of legos and dress-up. It was great family fun!

We call her "Ky-Zilla" because she destroys everything we make!

9 Months Old!

Kyleigh turned 9 months old last Tuesday and had her check up yesterday.
She weighs 18lbs. 11oz. (48th percentile) and is 28 inches tall (66 percentile)!
It is hard to believe how time flies! As I began this school year, I was having trouble not thinking it was still last school year. That year was such a blur since I was pregnant for 2 months, gone for 3 months, and sleep deprived the last 2 months! But, sure enough, this is a new year and Kyleigh is such a big girl now!

Priceless!

Ever since Haley started school, we have been wanting to take video of her and Kyleigh's expressions when they first see each other after a long day! It is absolutely priceless, today especially! When we arrived to picked Kyleigh up from my parent's house, Haley darted out of the car screaming in delight and Kyleigh sat on the grass screaming and bouncing up and down. It is so precious to see how they miss each other! As soon as we finally are able to capture the moment, we will post video!

Weekend Pics

A few weekends ago, we took a day trip to St. Mary's in Moraga where Paul would be doing the photography for an upcoming wedding. He took some pictures outside on the grounds to get some practice with the lighting!

Kyleigh Loves Preschool

As for Haley, we had success the second day!!! She was excited to go back and there were no tears...just a very giddy bouncy little girl when I picked her up (that unfortunately turned into an absolute cranky meltdown half way home as the tired little girl emerged)! She also likes coming to my classroom before school starts and drawing on the white board! What a treat!

First Day of Preschool

Today was Haley's first day of preschool! We had A LOT of tears to begin the day (I could actually hear her crying from my classroom!), but thankfully she settled down eventually and enjoyed her day thanks to her fabulous teachers!!  After school, she told me all about the jobs she did and the slides she went down at recess!
Most of these pictures and the video are not from today. They are from her orientation day on Wednesday and pictures Paul took at home!!

We Sold Our Condo!!!!

For those of you who have been following this, you know we have been trying to sell our place in Florida for 3 years now! Well, it finally sold last Friday!!! Thank you for your prayers!

Kyleigh "officially" started crawling today! She was pretty proud of herself, but Haley is still uncertain about what this may mean for all her toys that she has been safely protecting from her sister!! :)
